Goal Setting and Monthly Tracking
Club Inhale / Exhale offers a one on one program that works with clients to set their personal fitness goals and, likewise, track their success on a daily basis. Our skilled fitness experts will perform body composition evaluations in order to evaluate a client’s success on a monthly basis.
In order to accurately perform body composition evaluations, our skilled instructors use a bio-electric impedance analyzer. This is a sophisticated, scientific instrument that is used in research and analysis. We use this instrument to help clients achieve weight loss goals and/or muscle building physique.
How it works:
Bio-electrical impedance measures the resistance of body tissues to the flow of a small, harmless electrical signal. The proportion of body fat can be calculated as the current flows more easily through the parts of the body that are composed mostly of water than it does through bone, fat or air.
It is possible to predict how much body fat a person has by combining the bio-electric impedance measure with other factors such as height, weight, gender, fitness level and age.
This method is simple and quick, taking less than one minute at our private studio or your home. This, combined with your body measurements and progressive pictures, give you a real idea of your body composition.
Then, we log all of this information in a Club Inhale / Exhale Memory Book for you to keep and track for as long as you want!
The impedance measure is affected by body hydration status, body temperature and time of day, therefore it requires well-controlled conditions to get accurate and reliable measurements. If a person is dehydrated, the amount of fat will likely be overestimated.
Bio-electric impedance analysis is based on the principle that the resistance to an applied electric current is inversely related to the amount of fat-free mass within the body. This method does not take into account the location of body fat.
People with pacemakers should not use Bio-electrical Impedance for body composition analysis.
